ABOUT THE ROLE:

The candidate will be responsible
for the leadership of the
discovery, development and delivery
of ongoing engineering solutions
that continue to improve the
competitive advantage of Loblaw
Companies Limited through
continuous business process
improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

�Build and maintain
effective/quality project
management documents by project
including charter, Gantt chart and
project updates.
�Establish customer needs and
priorities for project planning,
development, implementation,
maintenance and support.
�Draw up technical plans with a
range of activities.
�Plan projects or processes and/or
regulates, controls and integrate
activities and resources used in
executing projects.
�Utilize initiative and critical
thinking to deal with
concerns/issues/roadblocks within
project.
�Maintains accountability and is
focused on results.
�Facilitate the communication
between different areas of the
business where knowledge in both
areas exists.
�Develops and manages relationships
with internal customer where
contact involves probing and
interpretation in dealing with
complex or sensitive issues and/or
gaining cooperation, with
accountability for reaching
agreement.
�Liaises, typically at the
management level, with internal
customers to acquire a more
detailed understanding of their
short and longer term service
needs, to provide technical and
process advice and to gauge their
satisfaction levels
�Negotiates directly or oversees
the resolution of the more complex
issues with customers, and other
internal stakeholders.
�Focuses on opportunities to
improve and streamline processes
methodologies.
�Apply multiple, moderately complex
methodologies to collect data
collection and conduct analysis for
labour standard and process
improvement initiatives.
�Establish the formats and
processes used during data
collection.
�Obtain and provide more complex,
technical information around data
collection and standards providing
additional clarification to
customers or team, as required.
�Plans and schedule sound,
sustainable solutions in all
aspects of their work receiving
limited guidance.
�Ensure in-depth analyses of
business issues and project results
are presented in a clear and
concise format.
�Continuously reviews progress
accuracy of work to ensure quality
and high standards are delivered.
�Develop and maintain a strong
rapport with internal/external
customers in order to understand
and meet their needs.
�Analyze, clarify and present the
technical components of business
issues/needs in a clear and concise
format and in a professional,
diplomatic and timely fashion.
�Provides project leadership to
assigned team/internal C/M.
�Provide ongoing guidance and
support to team in order to achieve
desired project outcome.
�Takes ownership of project/work
assignment.
�Maintains open and honest
communication with their team and
works to ensure team capability and
credibility is built.
�Ability to lead projects, as
required.

�Post-Secondary education in Industrial Engineering/Logistics/Business or related discipline
�Must have related field experience, preferably within a Supply Chain environment
�Experience in Distribution centre operation would be an asset
�Experience working on large scale projects would be an asset
�Exceptional PC Windows� skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, database and graphics, with the ability to manipulate data, construct graphical reports, flowcharts and statistics etc.
�Ability to think through a problem and determine the appropriate solution based upon Supply Chain principles, logic and common sense
�Ability to work in a fast paced environment
�Be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and be able to re-prioritize effectively
�Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of management
�Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
�Ability to visualize and draw conclusions from data
�Must be willing and able to travel as required
Basic Requirements:

• Post-Secondary education in Industrial Engineering/Logistics/Business or related discipline

• Must have related field experience, preferably within a Supply Chain environment

• Experience in Distribution centre operation would be an asset
