ABOUT PROJECT SC2010: Supply Chain 2010 is a multi-year strategy to transform Loblaw Companies Limited Supply Chain fundamentals. We are working towards one nationally, centrally managed Supply Chain. This exciting initiative will concentrate on accelerating flows to deliver the customer the freshest products focusing on improved inventory management capabilities, planning, forecasting and replenishment. ABOUT THE ROLE:
This position is responsible for work related to the WMS work stream within SC 2010 and reports to the Sr. Director - WMS.
The candidates' responsibilities include configuration management background, and will demonstrate ability to lead release and build engineers. Preferential treatment will be shown to candidates that can demonstrate good working knowledge of SQL development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implement and manage new/improved systems for efficiency and effectiveness
• Estimate and plan work and resources as well as monitor and report on progress against the plan
• Propose and agree on the scope of the processes, function, controlled items, and recorded information
• Ensure changes to methods and processes are properly approved and communicated before implementation
• Address project strategy, issue resolution, scheduling, and managing resources.
• Hands-on delivery or configuration of WMS System
• Ensure staff complies with unique identification standards for object types, environments, processes, life-cycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases and templates.
• Provide reports, including management reports, impact analysis reports and configuration status reports
• Read and interpret information from specifications and procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
• Post-Secondary education in Industrial Engineering/Logistics/Business or related discipline
• Must have strong SQL development experience
• Must have experience working with Manhattan WMOS
• Warehouse functional expertise in all DC areas (inbound and outbound)
• Warehouse configuration experience (i.e. locations, zones, etc)
• Data conversion support capability
• Ability to bridge IT and Operations considerations
• Experience with various device types (i.e. Voice, RF, GUI)
• Must have great communication skills
• Good strong have leadership and mentoring skills |
