| Job Description / Responsibilities: |
In this exciting role, you will:
-Be responsible for assisting in management of all aspects of the department including ordering, merchandising, sales projections, employee scheduling and promotion of the department both in-store and outside of store.
-Assist in providing and promoting excellence in customer service, sales, gross profit, presentation, labour management, price integrity and inventory control.
-Assist in providing ongoing supervision, training, development and evaluation of department employees.
-Train staff to deliver excellent customer service.
-May be responsible for the interviewing, hiring and training of new staff.
-Act as department manager's back-up as required.
-Minimum one to three years experience in an Apparel-retail environment, preferably in an assistant manager role.
-Post secondary education/formal training in merchandising and/or business management an asset.
-Demonstrated creativity in display merchandising.
-Ability to make quick decisions regarding day-to-day situations to improve quality and efficiency.
-Strong interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong organizational skills.
-Computer skills would be an asset.
-Willingness to work with others and respond to change. |
