ABOUT PROJECT SC2010: Supply Chain 2010 is a multi-year strategy to transform Loblaw Companies Limited Supply Chain fundamentals. We are working towards one nationally, centrally managed Supply Chain. This exciting initiative will concentrate on accelerating flows to deliver the customer the freshest products focusing on improved inventory management capabilities, planning, forecasting and replenishment. ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Supply Chain Development AV team will focus on delivering plans to convert products to shelf ready packaging. Identify and deliver best practice for ?store friendly? types of equipment that enable one touch replenishment, as well as implementing simpler cross functional business processes that help optimize overall supply chain efficiencies. The role will be focused on delivery of opportunities that enable the in-store replenishment process to be simplified, as well as developing and improving cross functional business processes.
Accelerated Value is a key stream within SC2010 which focuses on building the bridges between existing ways of working across the Supply Chain and future ways of work driven by the major systems (TMS/WMS/IPFR) implementations. AV focuses on fast delivery of initiatives that improve availability for the customer, simplify store and supply chain operations, improve existing processes and deliver financial benefits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Develop and implement plans to convert products to shelf ready packaging collaboratively working with Store, Supplier and Merchandise teams to improve the efficiency of the store replenishment process
? To be the champion within Supply Chain for all initiatives that benefit in store supply chain and improve efficiency of Store backdoor and replenishment operations
? To identify opportunities to implement new types of equipment for product deliveries to store that enable one touch replenishment, from building the business case, to engaging the business through to delivery of the plans
? Identify and secure new improvement opportunities across and pre the in-Store Supply Chain
? To improve existing cross functional planning processes that enable the supply chain network to be managed effectively for all types of products as well as promotions and events
? Manage and mitigate risks as needed
? Effectively build, lead, coach, mentor and develop a team, from both a productivity/motivation and succession planning standpoint
? Identify and track KPI?S and develop simple financial benefits tracking
? Deliver the cost budget
? Ability to manage multi tiered complex plans under tight timelines
? Provide project management leadership during the development of work plans
? Leverage industry best practices and Canadian retail councils in design development
REQUIREMENTS:
? 8 + years relevant experience with in a retail supply chain environment, ideally with exposure to Fresh Foods, Grocery and Non Food
? Experience of implementing packaging and equipment initiatives in retail
? Store Supply Chain experience within varied formats and types of operation
? Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent customer focus
? Strong Influencing skills practically in a complex cross functional environment
? A track record of delivery of cross functional initiatives
? Collaborative approach with a focus on delivery
? Very detailed oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
? University degree
? Ability to interact with C-level executives
? Strong analytical skills
? Process design experience
? Ability to maintain excellent relationships with partners/customers
? Highly developed self awareness with a continuous improvement philosophy
? Computer proficiency and familiarity with retail, ordering and warehouse management systems
? Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy;
Advanced communication skills, both written and oral
? Travel may be required |
