ABOUT PROJECT SC2010:
Supply Chain 2010 is a multi-year strategy to transform Loblaw Companies Limited Supply Chain fundamentals. We are working towards one nationally, centrally managed Supply Chain. This exciting initiative will concentrate on accelerating flows to deliver the customer the freshest products focusing on improved inventory management capabilities, planning, forecasting and replenishment. ABOUT THE ROLE:
This position is responsible for work related to the WMS work stream within SC 2010 and reports to the Sr. Director of Industrial Engineering.
The candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the discovery, development and delivery of ongoing engineering solutions that continue to improve the competitive advantage of Loblaw Companies Limited through continuous business process improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute on technical plans with a range of activities including data collection in a unionized environment.

• Develop and Maintain documentation related to project work

• Maintains accountability and is focused on results.

• Maintains open and honest communication with their team and works to ensure team capability and credibility is built.

• Execute tasks according to processes used during data collection.

• Takes ownership of project/work assignment.

• Focuses on opportunities to improve and streamline processes methodologies.

• Develop and maintain a strong rapport with internal/external customers in order to understand and meet their needs.

• Plan projects or processes and/or regulates, controls and integrate activities and resources used in executing projects.

• Utilize initiative and critical thinking to deal with concerns/issues/roadblocks within project.

• Facilitate the communication between different areas of the business where knowledge in both areas exists.

• Apply multiple, moderately complex methodologies to collect data collection and conduct analysis for labour standard and process improvement initiatives.

• Obtain and provide more complex, technical information around data collection and standards providing additional clarification to customers or team, as required.

• Execute solutions in all aspects of their work receiving limited guidance.

• Conduct in-depth analyses of business issues and present results clear and concise format.

• Continuously reviews progress accuracy of work to ensure quality and high standards are delivered.

• Conduct in-depth analyses analyze, clarify and present the technical components of business issues/needs in a clear and concise format and in a professional, diplomatic and timely fashion.

• Provided updates to project leadership.

• Provide ongoing support to team in order to achieve desired project outcome.

• Ability to lead tasks, as required.
REQUIREMENTS:

• Post-Secondary education in Industrial Engineering or related discipline

• Experience in Supply Chain environment preferred

• Work Measurement experience

• Experience in Distribution Centre operations would be an asset

• WMS experience would be an asset

• Experience working on large scale projects would be an asset

• Exceptional PC Windows' skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, database and graphics, with the ability to manipulate data, construct graphical reports, flowcharts and statistics etc.

• Ability to think through a problem and determine the appropriate solution based upon Supply Chain principles, logic and common sense

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

• Be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and be able to re-prioritize effectively

• Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of management

• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment

• Ability to visualize and draw conclusions from data

• Role encompasses significant travel, must willing and able to travel as required
